Hudson Valley Regional Police
Pipes and Drums

Proudly Serving the Hudson Valley Law Enforcement Community since 2000.

About Us

Our Story:

2017 HVRPP at West Point

Our band was formed in March of 2000 by a small group of law enforcement officers who played in various civilian bagpipe bands in the Hudson Valley Region. We began with ten members who had a mutual desire to serve our community and within two years have almost tripled in membership and we continue to grow today. We are comprised of law enforcement officers who are employed or reside within the Hudson Valley Region and are of Irish descent.  It is our commitment to assist our community by providing quality entertainment in a variety of ways.  We have donated our services and performed at events such as Police Graduations, Awards Ceremonies, Police Memorials, Dare Graduations and many parades throughout the Hudson Valley.

We are available for hire for events such as weddings, funerals, parties, parades, etc.… and can provide from one piper to an entire band depending on your needs. Contact us for all your entertainment needs.

Our Mission:

  • To teach the playing of highland bagpipes and drums.
  • To preserve and promote Irish traditions in music and events.
  • To support the continuing good relationship between police and fire departments of the Hudson Valley area and the communities they serve.
  • To honor and support those who have dedicated their lives and careers to “Protect and Serve”.
  • To unite its members, for the purpose of providing a ceremonial Bagpipe and Drum Band for all Police and Fire Departments of the Hudson Valley area, to perform at functions such as Parades, Funerals, Memorials, Dedications, Class Graduations, etc.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PIPE MAJOR

I would like to thank all the band members for a successful year. Without your dedication and commitment this would not be possible. i'm looking forward to the 2019 marching season. We have a lot of fun events planned in the near future. I will also be adding a few new tunes to our repertoire.

I would like to welcome and also congratulate the new members that joined the band of brothers in 2018 and looking forward to the new class joining us in 2019.

Sincerely,
PM B. Muller
